More than 700 people attended Mike "Raj" Rodman's funeral at St Mary's Church in Wotton-under-Edge on Friday. An automatic defibrillator has been donated to the club by a local business as a legacy to Mr Rodman's passing. The 37-year-old wore the number six shirt for Kingswood AFC and collapsed on the pitch during a local derby against Charfield on 26 January. Club chairman Rob Bateman said the defibrillator could be used after a few hours' tuition and has a computer voice to give instructions to the operator. He added a fundraising event had collected more than £4,000 for Mr Rodman's partner, Lauren Workman, and their young daughter Eva. |
