A bus operated by Zambia’s postal service that was carrying passengers smashed into two vehicles on Thursday, killing at least 53 people and injuring 22 others in one of the worst traffic crashes in the nation in recent history, officials said. The crash took place about 60 miles north of Lusaka, the capital, said a police spokeswoman.
