http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-21149359 Version 0 of 1. The boyfriend of a woman who was found dead in the remains of her burning car has denied her murder. Rafal Nowak, 31, was charged after the body of Catherine Wells-Burr, 23, from Chard in Somerset, was found next to the A358 near Ilminster in September. Mr Nowak, his former partner Anna Lagwinowicz, 32, and Tadevsz Dmytryszyn, 38, all entered not guilty pleas at Bristol Crown Court earlier. A trial will begin on 10 April with a further hearing on 18 March. Miss Wells-Burr, who graduated from Bath Spa University with a first-class degree, was discovered by fire crews in her red Ford Focus in a field in Ashill. It is alleged she was killed between 10 and 13 September last year. During the hour-long hearing, Polish nationals Nowak, of Willow Way in Chard, Lagwinowicz, of South Street in Taunton, and Dmytryszyn, of Holway Avenue in Taunton, sat alongside each other with an interpreter. They spoke only to confirm their names and enter not guilty pleas to the single count of murder. Prosecutor Richard Smith QC told the court the trial was expected to last between six and eight weeks. |
