Rescue workers who forced their way into the house found the bodies of a woman and a man. When fire crew arrived most of the downstairs of the house had been consumed by flames. The LFB said: "The fire affected around three-quarters of the ground floor, half of the first floor, as well as the staircase and roof of the semi-detached house. The cause of the fire is under investigation. A Met spokesman said: "Two people, a male and a female, were pronounced dead at the scene. The fire is being treated as unexplained.
