The A66 is closed in both directions between the junctions with the A685 at Brough and the A67 at Bowes due to hazardous driving conditions caused by adverse weather. Part of the A57 Snake Pass in Derbyshire and a section of the A68 in Corbridge, Northumberland, were closed because of snow.
