A spokesman said Pte Tait was enlisted in the Army on 3 July and had begun recruit training at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick on 13 July.

His commanding officer, Lt Col Mike Thornton, of The Rifles, said: "A young man who had been a real impact in his short time with Assaye Platoon.
"His sharp sense of humour and gritty approach to Infantry training are just the qualities we need from today's young infantry soldier; he had a bright future."
Platoon commander, Captain Rob Earle, of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, described the young recruit as "a positive and well liked Platoon member".
He said: "He never lost his Glasgow sense of humour as he adapted to Army life; a quality that served him well on the Combat Infantryman's course.
"He will be sorely missed by all in his Platoon."
Two other men, Flt Lt David Sale and crewman Sgt Phillip Burfoot also died in the crash on Wednesday. Both were from 33 Squadron based at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire.
An investigation into the crash is currently being carried out by the police and Ministry of Defence.
