Version 0 of 1.

CCTV footage showing the movements of a Greater Manchester teenager moments before he was fatally stabbed in daylight has been released by police.

Kieran Crump Raiswell, 18, was attacked near a bus stop on Upper Chorlton Road, Whalley Range, on Wednesday afternoon.

A post-mortem concluded Mr Crump Raiswell, who was about to start a degree at Sheffield University, died from a wound to the chest.

Police said there appeared to be "no obvious motive" for the stabbing.

The CCTV footage shows Mr Crump Raiswell, from Chorlton, walking along Upper Chorlton Road towards Manchester city centre.

It is possible he had been intending to hand out his CV to shops and businesses in search of a job, police said.

'Easy-going boy'

Officers said his attacker was seen at the junction of Stamford Road and Upper Chorlton Road, "possibly hiding in some bushes".

As Mr Crump Raiswell crossed the road, his attacker "walked up behind him, stabbed him and ran off".

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are looking for a light skinned male, of slim build, between 5ft 1in and 5ft 4in tall and possibly aged 16 or 17.

He was wearing blue jeans, a black v-neck jumper carrying the Versace logo and had a short back and sides haircut.

Mr Crump Raiswell was treated by paramedics, who took him to hospital, but he later died.

In a statement his family said he was a "quiet, easy-going boy" with his "whole life ahead of him" and was "loved by all who knew him".

Det Ch Insp Peter Marsh, from GMP, said there was no evidence he was a victim of a robbery.

"We have a dedicated team of detectives working to build up a picture of what happened, but at this stage in the investigation there appears to be no obvious motive for killing Kieran, who was simply walking along the street.

"I believe the answers to who did this will lie in the community - someone will know who was responsible and I implore those people to be courageous and come forward."
