Fourth inmate absconds from jail

Another inmate has absconded from a Derbyshire open prison - the fourth to abscond in four days.

James Lord, 42, whose last address was in Southampton, absconded from Sudbury Open Prison on Friday. He is serving 10 years for robbery, theft and assault.

Manchester's Damien Beevor, 22, serving four years for attempted robbery, walked out of Sudbury on 8 August.

Lee Thomas O'Connor, 32, from Liverpool and Barry Thompson, 33, from Merseyside went missing on 7 August.

Several scars

O'Connor is serving five years for robbery. Thompson is serving four years and nine months for burglary.

Lord is white, 5ft 7in, of medium build with short, brown hair and blue eyes. He has several scars and tattoos.

Police have appealed for help in tracing the four men.

Official figures show that more than 660 inmates have walked out of Sudbury in the past 10 years.
