Man arrested over rape of 23-year-old woman in Glasgow

Police have arrested a man after a woman was raped while returning from a night out in Glasgow's west end.

The 23-year-old woman was walking on Crow Road, Partick, at about 02:15 on Hogmanay when a man threatened her.

She was taken to a wooded area in nearby Cross Park, where she was sexually assaulted.

Strathclyde Police said a 20-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later.
