Version 0 of 1.

A man has appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with raping and assaulting a woman in the city.

Ryan Subryan is originally from Guyana, South America, but now lives at Dunmurry Lane in south Belfast.

The 23-year-old is charged with raping and assaulting a woman on 30 June. He denies the charges.

He is already on remand after being charged last month with attacking two other women in the city with the intention of raping them.

Short Strand

It is understood the charges relate to an alleged incident in the Short Strand area of east Belfast.

Mr Subryan did not speak, but nodded to indicate that he understood the charges.

A detective told the court she believed she could connect him to both.
