He said the location where the teenager fell was "inaccessible" and firefighters had to use specialist ropes. | |
"We effected a rescue by means of a line rescue down a cliff face," he said. | |
The boy was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital. A spokesman said he was likely to be discharged later on Friday. | |
The Fire and Rescue Service is warning young people not to take unnecessary risks during the school holidays. |
