'Cocaine' found as car is stopped on A1 near Banbridge

Police have seized a "significant quantity of suspected cocaine" after they stopped a car on the A1 dual carriageway in County Down.

Detectives from PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped the vehicle close to Banbridge on Friday night.

They arrested a 32-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman.

The pair were detained on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession with intent to supply. They are currently being questioned.
