Andrew David Male, from Aberdare, was pronounced dead at an address in Cardiff Road in Aberaman, Aberdare after police were called on Wednesday. The body of Andrew Male was found at a property in Cardiff Road, Aberaman, near Aberdare, on Wednesday morning after police were called at 03:20 GMT.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with his murder and will appear at Merthyr Magistrates' Court on Friday. Corey Liam Thomas, 18, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Merthyr Tydfil.
Mr Male's parents said they were "saddened and shocked" by the death of their "caring and considerate" son. Mr Male's parents have described their sadness and shock at the death of their "caring and considerate" son.
They added that they will "dearly miss" him.
Officers were called to Cardiff Road at 03:20 GMT on Wednesday.
