http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-20918835 Version 0 of 1. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a young mother who has been missing for three days. The 30-year-old has been detained after the disappearance from her London home of Janelle Duncan-Bailey, 25, in the early hours of Wednesday. Ms Duncan-Bailey, of Pawsons Road, Thornton Heath, went missing after attending a family function, the Met police said. The suspect is being held in custody at a south London police station. Ms Duncan-Bailey was last seen between 05:00 and 05:30 GMT, walking towards flats in Limpsfield Avenue, Thornton Heath. 'Out of character' She had left a friend's house at about 04:00 GMT, before police were called following reports of a domestic disturbance at her ex-partner's house, at about 04:30 GMT. Ms Duncan-Bailey later left the property with officers, and is believed to have asked to be taken to another friend's house in Limpsfield Avenue. She was reported missing later that day after failing to collect her children, boys aged two and seven, from the Bromley home of a friend she left them with. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Janelle has never been missing before and her disappearance is totally out of character." She is described as being black, about 5ft 5ins, of medium build and with shoulder-length black hair which may have been enhanced with hair extensions. Police have appealed for anyone with information about Ms Duncan-Bailey or her whereabouts to contact the Specialist Crime Directorate at Sutton police station on 0208 721 4054. |
