Firefighters are tackling a large blaze at a disused factory in Stoke-on-Trent. | |
Emergency services were called to Garner Street, in the Etruria area, at about 16:20 GMT on Friday. | |
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said at its height, 80 firefighters and 10 appliances were used to tackle the fire at the former Twyford building. | |
Four pumps remain at the scene as crews continue to put out the blaze. Garner Street is still closed in both directions. | |
There were reports of a number of explosions at the site, which is next to one branch of the West Coast mainline. Some train services were delayed on Friday as a result of the fire. | |
Police said there was also heavy smoke in the area and drivers had been urged to take care. | |
