TfL said there would be extra buses for shoppers heading for the West End or Westfield shopping centres. TfL said limited services were running on the Tube, although there are some services running on all lines.

The congestion charge for vehicles entering central London will not apply during the festive period and there will also be no parking charges on roads in Westminster. The Docklands Light Railway is also operating, except between Canning Town and Beckton and between Shadwell and Bank.

Tfl said services could vary throughout the day depending on the resources available.

Otherwise, the capital's 700 bus routes will operate a Sunday service.
