Fire attack suspect shown on CCTV in Barrhead

The first incident saw flammable liquid was poured over a car, in the driveway of a house, in Fintry Crescent, Barrhead, at about 22:30 on 10 October. The second incident saw the same car set on fire while parked at the same location at about 22:10 on 5 November. No one was injured during the incidents. Police have asked anyone who recognises the suspect to get in touch. The CCTV images were captured during the second incident. Linked incidents They show a man who is described as of slim build and wearing a green hooded top with dark-coloured toggles. He was also wearing Adidas Samba trainers. Det Sgt Jane Drysdale, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Luckily no one has been injured as a result of any of these crimes. "Police are linking these incidents and I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images to contact police as a matter of urgency. "It is imperative that the person responsible is identified and apprehended before a member of the public is seriously hurt." |
