Two men have appeared in court in Londonderry charged with the murder of a man from Donegal.

Sean Cruickshank, 19, from Lislane Drive and Edward McEleney, 20, from Circular Road, both in Creggan, denied murdering Liam Devlin.

The 19-year-old man died after a fight at 0230 BST on Saturday at Linsfort Drive, Creggan.

The court heard that when charged, Mr Cruickshank made no reply and Mr McEleney said he was not guilty.

Solicitors for both defendants told Londonderry Magistrates Court on Monday that both men would strongly deny any involvement in the murder.
