Teenage mother dies in stabbing Girl, 15, held in murder inquiry

Detectives have made two arrests after a young mother was stabbed to death in a late night disturbance. A 15-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a teenage mother to death in a street disturbance.
Northumbria Police said victim Samantha Madgin, 18, was involved in an incident in a back lane in Wallsend, North Tyneside, on Thursday. Three people are now being held in connection with the death of Samantha Madgin, 18, including a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s.
She was stabbed between Victoria Avenue and Albert Avenue and died from her injuries later. The area was cordoned off by officers. The victim was stabbed between Victoria Avenue and Albert Avenue, in Wallsend, and later died from her injuries.
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A police spokesman said further arrests were anticipated. The disturbance happened at 2350 BST.

The arrested man is aged in his 30s and the woman in her 20s.
