Version 0 of 1.

A mother's guilty plea to the manslaughter of her son and daughter has been accepted by a court.

The Old Bailey heard three doctors had agreed 29-year-old Vivian Gamor's responsibility was diminished through paranoid schizophrenia.

The bodies of Antoine, 10, and Kenniece, three, were found at her flat in Pembury Close, Hackney, east London.

She was remanded in custody until a hearing on 1 August when she is due to be given an indefinite hospital order.

Tragic case

The bodies of the two children, who normally lived with their father at another address, were found on 27 January when police were called to the flat.

Post-mortem examinations showed Gamor's son Antoine had suffered head injuries and Kenniece had been suffocated.

The prosecution said it could accept a not guilty plea for murder from Gamor.

Diana Ellis QC, defending, said: "She is very unwell and will continue to need hospital treatment for a very long time."

Judge Peter Rook said it was "a truly tragic case."

He said the role of the social services should be presented to the next hearing as there were "implications" for them.

One of the issues was a claim by the children's father that his concern's were "not taken into account".

Jonathan Rees, prosecuting, said statements had been taken from those responsible for caring for Gamor and supervising the children, and the matter was "being looked at closely".
