The Reverend Jan Gould told mourners they could not even begin to imagine the anguish Ms Menzies' family were continuing to go through. Written tributes from Ms Menzies' two eldest children Sophie, 11, and Ellie, eight, were read out to mourners.
Sophie had written: "Dear mum, today I'm feeling really said because I know it's time to say goodbye.
"You were an amazing mum, you were fun, cool and unnormal."
Ellie wrote: "Thank you for everything you've done for me and have a nice time being an angel."
She also remembered her mother pulling funny faces and helping her to cook spaghetti bolognese.
Mourners also heard tributes from Ms Menzies' brothers Craig and Gareth, her sisters Sam and Laura, and her friend Otis Williams.
They remembered the fun times they had together and thanked her for being there for them.
Ms Gould told mourners they could not even begin to imagine the anguish Ms Menzies' family were continuing to go through.

She placed a cross, Bible and holy water on Ms Menzies' leopardprint coffin, and hymns included All Things Bright and Beautiful. "Tragic death, which is almost always sudden and unexpected as it was with Karina, is lot like a black out," she said.
Her burial is at Western Cemetery on Cowbridge Road West. "One minute the sun is shining, the next minute it's a dark night.
"Without the slightest warning or the slightest chance to prepare ourselves, we are plunged into an impenetrable darkness and within the space of a minute, our whole world is turned upside down."
She told the family that she hoped they could find light again within their faith.
