Flower firm charged with manslaughter over worker's death

Grzegorz Krystian Pieton 26, of Terrington St Clement, died on 15 July, 2010, when the trailer he was towing touched an overhead power line. The incident happened at Belmont Nursery in Terrington St Clement, where he was working. The nursery operator, King's Lynn-based PS & JE Ward Ltd, will appear at King's Lynn Magistrates' Court on 23 November. The Crown Prosecution Service said the firm also faced a charge of failing to ensure the safety of an employee under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. |
