A spokesman said a woman was found on the school premises and confirmed dead at the scene. Dr Stephanie Gait, chair of governors said: "It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of our head teacher, Helen Mann."
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said the death of the woman in her 40s is being treated as unexplained and is not believed to be suspicious.
The school has been closed while investigations continue.
