Wadworth Brewery jobs transferred away from Wiltshire

Fives others have been transferred and four redeployed after Wadworth Brewery decided to shift distribution and warehousing out of the county. The Devizes brewery, which was founded in 1875, said the change was designed to make it more cost effective. Its operations will now be run by Kuehne and Nagel drink logistics, 40-miles away in Thatcham, Berkshire. The company previously said that its brewing operation and three shire horses would not be affected by the move. The horses were reintroduced in 1974 and are used to deliver beer to pubs within a two-mile radius of the brewery. |
