One dead in Manchester shooting Manchester shootings claim a life

At least one person has been killed and three people injured in a wave of shootings in Manchester. A 23-year-old man has been killed and two others, including a teenager, have been injured in two shooting incidents.
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said it had taken one boy from Stretford Road in Hulme to Hope Hospital in Salford. Police were called to reports of a shooting in Frobisher Close, Chorlton on Medlock shortly after midnight.
The boy, described as being in his early teens, was suffering from serious gunshot wounds to his right leg. A man aged 23 was taken to hospital where he died. A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital in the same incident.
It is understood two more shooting victims attended Manchester Royal Infirmary. Greater Manchester Police said a 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a shooting in Hulme. Police have not said if the incidents are linked.
One had a gunshot wound to the hand and other had been shot in the leg. A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said it had taken a boy from Stretford Road in Hulme to Hope Hospital in Salford.
The boy was suffering from serious gunshot wounds to his right leg.
It is understood the two men shot in Chorlton on Medlock attended Manchester Royal Infirmary.
A police spokesperson said armed and unarmed officers were patrolling the area to calm the situation.
