Watch here Fans at a Madonna concert in New Orleans have booed the singer after she told them to vote for Barack Obama in the US presidential election. "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama," she said. Madonna then, however, seemed to change her tune after being met with a mixture of cheers and loud boos. "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for as long as you take responsibility for the future of your country … Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote," she continued. This is not the first time Madonna has drawn criticism for making a political statement during her MDNA tour: in May, she attracted the ire of French politician Marine Le Pen for superimposing a swastika over her face as part of a video montage, while in September she confused fans at a show in Washington DC by calling Barack Obama a "black Muslim". |
