Murder charge for police officer Policeman accused of City murder

A police officer has been charged with the murder of a man who was killed in a City bar. A police officer is one of three men who have been charged with the murder of a man at a City of London bar.
Lee Cook, 21, was in the Alibi Bar, in Shoe Lane, with friends on Friday night when he was hit at least three times. Lee Cook, 21, from Essex, died after he was hit at least three times at the Alibi Bar while out with friends.
Mr Cook, of Harold Wood, Essex, worked as a barrister's clerk at Francis Taylor Building. City of London officer Adam Lowe, 26, of Sawbridgeworth, Herts, and two men from Essex are due before magistrates.
The City of London Police confirmed the police officer charged with Mr Cook's murder is one of three men who have all been charged with his murder. The other men are Lloyd Moore, 26, from Epping, and Rick Maynard, 27, from Woodford Green. Mr Lowe has been suspended from duty.
All three men are due to appear at the City of London Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The victim, Mr Cook, of Harold Wood, worked as a barrister's clerk at Francis Taylor Building.
City of London Police Commander Patrick Rice said: "We are deeply disappointed that one of our officers has been charged in connection with this investigation. He has been suspended from duty and justice must now take its course."
Murders are extremely rare in the Square Mile and the death is believed to be only the fifth in five years.
