Version 0 of 1.

The United Nations General Assembly elected Argentina, Australia, Luxembourg, Rwanda and South Korea on Thursday to two-year terms as nonpermanent members of the 15-seat Security Council, the most powerful body of the 193-member organization. The new members replace Colombia, Germany, India, Portugal and South Africa when their terms expire Dec. 31. The other five nonpermanent members — Azerbaijan, Guatemala, Morocco, Pakistan and Togo — remain until the end of 2013. The five permanent members, which have veto power, are Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States.
