Three people were cut free from their vehicles following a two-car crash near the Edinburgh city bypass.

Firefighters were called to the scene at the Calder Road roundabout on Saturday afternoon.

They used hydraulic equipment to release two men and a woman trapped following the accident.

Also in attendance was Edinburgh's Medic One ambulance. All three were taken to the city's Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their condition is unknown.

Medic One is the only service of its kind in Scotland. It acts as a flying squad, taking a team of medical and nursing specialists to the scene of any emergency.
