On Saturday afternoon, the environment agency said rainfall levels over the weekend were predicted at between 5 and 10mm for Wales, in contrast to the 80mm which fell in the English Midlands on Friday.
But heavy bursts of rainfall could still overload drainage systems and result in sudden and rapid flooding, they warned.
There were also two flood warnings in force, along the River Wye from Hereford to Ross, and the Lower Dee Valley from Llangollen to Chester.
There were nine flood watches in place, covering mid and north Ceredigion, the upper and lower Teifi, Lower Dee catchment, River Lugg, River Wye in Herefordshire, River Wye in Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire, and the River Wye in Powys.
