Cleveland Police said the find in Oxford Road, Middlesbrough, was its biggest haul of the illegal drug. Officers who executed the search warrant also found £100,000 in cash at the house. One man was charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and was due to appear before Teesside magistrates on Thursday. A second man arrested has been bailed pending further inquiries. Det Insp Mel Ashley said: "I am delighted with this result. "It is the largest recovery we have had in Middlesbrough and means we have deprived the dealers in this area of making a substantial amount of money from dealing in drugs." A further man has since been arrested at another address where more heroin was found, and was being questioned on Thursday. |
