The Israeli army has killed a Palestinian in farmland in the northern Gaza Strip, an area used by militants for firing rockets at Israel. The Israeli army has killed two Palestinians in separate incidents in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian officials named the person killed as Mahmoud Abu Nasser. It was not initially clear if he was a militant or civilian. Palestinian medics said a 14-year-old boy was killed in northern Gaza. Israel said it killed a Palestinian retrieving a rocket launcher.
Five others were wounded in the strike, the Palestinian officials said. In the second incident, Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian they said was trying to stab them at a checkpoint close to the West Bank city of Nablus.
The army said it had attacked a "man who came to collect a launcher" after a rocket had fired been at Israel. But Palestinian witnesses said the 20-year-old victim was unarmed.
