Version 0 of 1.

More than 100 children are to be retested for tuberculosis (TB) at a school in Luton this week.

Screening at Southfield Junior school is starting again because another child developed the full blown disease.

Doctor Marion McAvoy from the Health Protection Agency (HPA) said parents should not be worried as the condition is easily treated when detected early.

She said: "If we get in early, as we have done at this school, we can treat TB and prevent cases developing."

The HPA has been monitoring the school's children to control the condition.

Before the end of term, 114 children will be retested.

These will be children who had a negative result from the first screening.
