A six-year-old boy has died after his mother found him hanged in an apparent accident with a skipping rope. The family of a six-year-old boy from Greater Manchester who died in an accident in which he was hanged with a skipping rope have paid tribute to him.
Mason Jones was found in an upstairs bedroom of the house on Walmersley Road in Bury, Greater Manchester. Mason Jones was found by his mother in an upstairs bedroom of the house on Walmersley Road in Bury on Friday.

It is thought he had been playing with his sister. Special prayers have been said at the family's parish church, St Joseph's RC Church. His mum, Jenny Jones, described him as "truly wonderful".
An investigation into Mason's death on Friday was launched but there were not found to be any suspicious circumstances. 'Gorgeous smile'
The case has now been passed to the coroner. "Mason was a lovely little man who touched so many people's lives," she said.
'Tragic accident' "He truly was wonderful, and lit up a room with his gorgeous smile.
"He was such a popular boy who made friends very easily. I could really talk forever about what a fantastic son he was, but it won't bring him back.
"Me, his Dad, his little twin sisters and his big sister will miss him more than words can say."
