Their home on Hamilton Road remained cordoned off by police. Mr Coley made no plea or declaration at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He is due to appear at the city's sheriff court on Friday afternoon. He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Brian Kearney pending further inquiries.
