Woman and child escape gun attack

A woman and a young child have escaped injury in a gun attack at a house in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast.

Shortly before midnight a number of shots were fired from a shotgun at the house at Cloona Manor.

The front door of the house and the front window were damaged in the attack.

Two men, both of whom were wearing dark clothing, are believed to have been involved in the shooting. They ran off afterwards.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them.
