The 33-year-old man, who has not been named, and a second man leapt into action when a three-year-old girl and 17-year-old man got into trouble off Camber Dock in Old Portsmouth, Hampshire. A pilot boat's crew managed to pluck the youngsters and the second man from the water unharmed on Thursday afternoon. As many as 100 people were involved in looking for the 33-year-old, until the search was called off on Friday morning. David Roberts, 32, a computer engineer from Portsmouth, said: "I've been walking around the beach and harbour side keeping a look out to see if I can spot anything.
