Couple found dead in city house Son held after parents found dead
(about 1 hour later)
A couple have been found dead in a house in Lincolnshire. The son of an elderly couple found dead more than 120 miles from their home has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police said the deaths were being treated as suspicious and that a man had been arrested. The bodies of the 82-year-old man and 76-year-old woman were found at a house in Foxglove Way, Lincoln, on Wednesday.
Officers said information was received from detectives in Wiltshire which led them to an address on Foxglove Way in Lincoln on Wednesday afternoon. Wiltshire police said the discovery followed a call to officers expressing concern about the welfare of the couple, who come from Swindon.
It is reported that the couple and the arrested man are from Swindon. A joint investigation between Wiltshire and Lincolnshire police has begun. A house in Thames Avenue, Swindon, has also been sealed off for examination by forensic science experts.
Post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out on the couple later.Post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out on the couple later.

Detectives have also appealed to any service stations in the Wiltshire and Lincolnshire areas to contact them if they recall or have CCTV coverage of the car being refuelled on their forecourts.
Wiltshire police are leading the investigation, with help from Lincolnshire officers.
