Mr Edwards' parents, Alan and Debbie Edwards, have said he was a "gentle giant" and a "much loved son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend". A 39-year-old and two 29-year-olds, all from the Bridgend area, have been charged with murder.
All three have also been charged with GBH on a separate person, attempted GBH on two other people and violent disorder.

On Wednesday, Det Sup Paul Kemp said: "We are keen to speak to people who were at the car park who may have valuable information".
"These are a youth on a pedal bike who lent someone his mobile phone, and two young men, one wearing a 'hoody' and the other a cap.
"At least three taxi vehicles were in the vicinity and police would like to speak to the drivers of each and any passengers."
Two other men who were assaulted have since been discharged from the town's Princess of Wales Hospital.
