Flash floods hit Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge

Flash flooding caused by a sudden downpour has led to the A646 Burnley Road being closed in Mytholmroyd, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Parts of nearby Hebden Bridge are also flooded and resident Geoff Tansey said the rain was "really intense, like a monsoon" and fell for 90 minutes.

More than 500 homes and businesses in Hebden Bridge, Todmorden and Mytholmroyd were flooded in June.

On Friday Prince Charles visited areas affected by recent flooding.

The Environment Agency warned again of the dangers of driving through flood water.
