The BBC One documentary series featured celebrities highlighting the plight of endangered species and drew more than 20 million viewers. It culminated with a live fundraising show on Friday and a second week-long series is now planned. BBC Natural History Unit head Neil Nightingale said he was "delighted" by the "overwhelmingly positive" response. Episodes included singer Will Young discussing gorillas and BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman looking at Siamese crocodiles. Money raised will go towards wildlife conservation projects in the UK and overseas. |
