The thieves made away with rings, necklaces, pendants and earrings studded with gems, mostly diamonds, in the robbery, which happened at about 1710 BST on Thursday
Detective Sergeant Sarah Staff, of the Flying Squad, said: "Given the nature of the jeweller's targeted by these men, the items taken are significant and unique in design.
"Those caught up in the robbery have been left extremely shaken and we are speaking to them to gain as much information as possible."
Police are currently examining the CCTV footage from the shop and questioning customers and staff who were present at the time.
