A Nottinghamshire school has been forced to close after a ceiling collapsed when thieves stripped lead from the roof. | |
A large section of the ceiling came down in a classroom at Priestsic Primary School in Sutton-in-Ashfield at about 03:00 BST on Friday. | |

Head teacher Tracey Wilson said the area affected was a carpet play area for five-year-olds. | |
"We are very relieved it happened in the middle of the night and not at nine o'clock when the children were here. | |
"We have a local company making it safe for the time being but then we'll have the local authority arrive to have a look to make sure the rest of the building is safe to open, hopefully next week." |
