Driver dies after car hits tree

A man has died after the car he was driving hit a tree in Clackmannanshire.

The accident, which took place near Lilly Bridge on the B913 Dollarto Saline road, was discovered on Saturday morning.

Central Scotland Police said it was thought that the crash took place at some time between 0530 and 0645 BST

The red Peugeot car had been travelling south when it left the road and struck a tree. Police appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
