A motorcyclist has died following a collision in Perthshire. A motorcyclist who died following a collision in Perthshire has been named by police.
Police said the rider, who has not been named, died at the scene on the A93 Braemar to Blairgowrie Road, near Middleton of Dalrulzion Farm. Dirk Littler, 51, of Kirktower House, Craig, Montrose, died at the scene on the A93 Braemar to Blairgowrie Road, near Middleton of Dalrulzion Farm.
The collision happened at about 1450 BST on Saturday and involved a yellow coloured Ducati motorcycle which had been travelling southwards. Mr Littler's yellow Ducati motorbike collided with a wooden post around 1450 BST on Saturday. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact Tayside Police, on 01738 621141. Tayside Police said a report had been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
