Two teenagers have been stabbed and a man left seriously injured in three separate attacks in the Shettleston area of Glasgow.

A 13-year-old boy was found by his friends collapsed in Carntyne Path at about 2235 BST on Friday.

About two hours later a 44-year-old man received facial injuries after being attacked outside the Celtic Supporters Club on London Road.

In the third incident, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Powfoot Street.

He had taken his dog out to the back court at 0240 BST when he was set upon by a group of males.

He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his condition has been described as serious but stable.

He was unable to give the police any details of the people involved or any of their descriptions.

The 13-year-old is also being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for stab wounds where he is also in a serious but stable condition.

Strathclyde Police are treating that attack as attempted murder.

Det Con Adam Mitchell of Shettleston CID said: "So far we have very little information as to how the young boy came about these serious injuries.

"He had been with friends earlier in the evening and became separated from them. His friends found him a while later on Carntyne Path."

Witness appeals

He said it was not known whether the teenager was attacked on Carntyne Path or was assaulted elsewhere and then collapsed.

"I am keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything last night which may assist my enquiries," he added.

The injured 44-year-old man is also in a serious but stable condition at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Strathclyde Police have appealed for witnesses to all three attacks.
