Police fire shot at getaway car

Police have fired a shot at a car thought to have been speeding away from an attempted robbery in north Belfast.

A patrol was called to Chichester Park South after a house alarm went off at about 0230 BST.

Detectives believe the bullet struck the car, which was later recovered two miles away at Henry Place.

No-one is believed to have been injured, and no arrests were made. The police ombudsman has been informed and will investigate the incident.
