Prolific burglar faces sentencing

A burglar who targeted thousands of homes across London in a spree spanning eight years is due to be sentenced.

Norman Sinclair, 46, was on Scotland Yard's wanted list after stealing millions of pounds worth of cash and jewellery to fund a crack habit.

He pleaded guilty to 13 break-ins and asked for another 2,636, in 13 London boroughs, to be taken into account.

Sinclair was arrested trying to board a ferry in Dover and is due to appear before Harrow Crown Court.
