Graffiti was daubed on walls and paths outside the home of Miss McLoughlin's family, including references to the Munich air disaster and Liverpool FC. England star Rooney, a former boyhood Everton fan and player, signed for Manchester United in 2004. Police confirmed they were investigating reports of criminal damage and were checking CCTV.
