Mark Tate, 19, from Caernarfon was injured in the incident in the resort of Marmaris on Wednesday. | |
The Foreign Office said Mr Tate's next-of-kin had been informed and that they were providing consular assistance. | |
Mr Tate is understood to have been on holiday with his girlfriend when he fell and hit his head. | |
His mother Linda has flown out to Turkey to be with her son, according to Gwynedd councillor Tudor Owen who represents the Peblig ward in Caernarfon where Mr Tate lived. | |
Mr Owen also said local people had started collecting money for the family. | |
He said another lad from the same estate died a few months ago after falling from a balcony in Spain while he was on holiday there. | |
